Along with training from one of the leading horticulture and arboriculture schools - Capel Manor College - the team has a national certificate in horticulture and a national diploma in arboriculture. We are qualified and licensed to spray chemicals if required and have a solid understanding of different irrigation systems. We have developed our own extensive lawn care programme which has proven extremely successful over the years.

Mark found his true calling in gardening ten years ago, leaving his job in the city to pursue his passion. His National Diploma in Arboriculture and a National Certificate in Horticulture gained from the prestigious Capel Manor College, has provided him with the extensive training and experience needed to produce the best outdoor spaces. Mark has worked for several top companies as Head of Maintenance managing large teams and spaces. His passion for gardening is best represented by the meticulous training he gives to all Ridgway and Newton employees. Mark is incredibly enthusiastic about gardening and is extremely proud of his involvement in a team that won two gold medals at The Chelsea Flower Show.

Greg Newton

Greg started his career ten years ago as a garden labourer and worked his way up to Foreman at some of London’s top gardening companies, gaining a wealth of experience along the way. Greg’s hard work and passion for gardening is best represented by his involvement in a team that won two gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show and the many testimonials that Ridgway and Newton have received. As a Director of Ridgway and Newton, Greg believes that an outside space can provide a beautiful extension of a home and making the most of it is so important no matter how big or small.
