Plant care:

We undertake maintenance for herbaceous plants including pruning, feeding and staking, throughout the growing season. Pruning is species-specific and/or in accordance with our clients' and/or designer’s instructions.

Climbers are tied in and pruned as necessary to promote flowering and a robust and proper framework.

Hardy shrubs are kept pruned to shape where necessary i.e. topiary or lollipop structures.

Maintenance of large trees is contracted out to qualified tree surgeons when large structural change is necessary. All trees are monitored for pests and diseases. All trees are watered and fed regularly, where required.

All plants are fed in spring and autumn with additional feeding taking place where specifically needed. Mulch is applied in late winter where necessary.
 

Lawns:

All lawns are maintained to the highest standard following approved programmes of treatment consisting of: Spring feeding, aeration when required, top dressing, summer feeding if necessary, autumn feeding, scarification and mowing.

Watering

All irrigation systems are checked and monitored throughout the year. Programmes are adjusted in accordance with demand. Repairs are carried out to damaged pipes and connections where possible. During winter months all irrigation is turned off. Where necessary, arrangements are made to have the system drained down.

Pests and diseases

All plants are checked regularly for signs of pests and diseases. Where appropriate they are treated with chemical or natural products. The company has a qualified sprayer holding PA1 and PA6a spraying licences.
 
 

Autumn leaf collection

All possible leaves are collected in the allocated time whilst allowing for continuing maintenance duties. Extra time can be added through agreement with both parties.

Paving

Paved areas are kept clear of leaves and debris. They are cleaned and treated for algae when required, as applicable to the type of hard landscaping used. Jet washing can be undertaken depending on the type and condition of the paving.

Lighting

All lights are checked regularly and cleaned. Bulbs are replaced as required, when possible. For complex lighting a qualified electrician should be contracted.

Additional materials and products

All additional materials, plants and products are chargeable separately. The charges will be agreed and invoiced separately.

Green waste and disposal

Many households have their own green waste collection. If we are required to dispose of extra green waste this is charged separately.

A note on dog waste

It is the responsibility of the client or household to remove dog waste prior to the maintenance visit. We do not have the capacity to remove and dispose of dog waste.
